The Big Band Era, sometimes known
as the Swing Era, occurred from the 1920s through to the 1950s, although
it was most prominent between the 1930s and 1940s. This era is
characterized by jazz or swing bands consisting of ten or more musicians

trumpets were all essential instruments during the Big Band Era, and
