The state of Pennsylvania is home to one of the most beautiful, if little known, places in the North-East USA - the Longwood Gardens. Spread over 4.2 square km, 1077 acres, about 45 minutes west of Philadelphia, there are gardens, green houses, forests and a meadow. The gardens are open to visitors all year round, and they can enjoy some exotic plants and horticulture, events, performances, lectures, courses and workshops.
